So the new year has finally come and upon reflection, 2012 wasn’t so bad after all! I’ve been a [micro?] publisher for over a year now and have launched a new title: COPRA<\/strong>. Here’s a brief look back on the recent nods.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

Tucker Stone<\/strong><\/a> included my comics – Copra<\/em>,\u00a0Zegas<\/em>\u00a0&\u00a0Deathzone!\u00a0<\/em>– in his sharp, personal Best Of\u00a0<\/em>list for The Comics Journal. <\/strong><\/em>Tucker has been more than instrumental in getting me through those first few Copra<\/em> issues by saving me from comic book cabin fever. Big thanks to Matt Seneca<\/strong><\/a> and\u00a0Abhay Khosla<\/strong><\/a>, too.<\/p>\n

Comics Alliance<\/strong><\/em> braved a massive look back in 5 parts, and Copra<\/em> made the cut in Part 4 a.k.a. The Hellboy Memorial Awards<\/a>. <\/strong>Major thanks to Dylan Todd, Chris Sims, Caleb Goellner, <\/strong>and Joseph Hughes <\/strong>for their continued support.<\/p>\n

Comic Book Resources <\/strong><\/em>had a multi part list of their own, and my comics snuck in there thanks to Timothy Callahan <\/strong>and<\/a> Sonia Harris<\/a>. Timothy\u00a0<\/strong>also\u00a0\u00a0gave us his own Ten Best in his CBR<\/em>\u00a0column\u00a0When Worlds Collide<\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n

Alec Berry<\/strong>, in his new position at CBR<\/em>, gave Copra<\/em> a nice critical write up<\/a>, which echoed his overview in his podcast, The Chemical Box<\/strong><\/a><\/em>, co-hosted by Joey Aulisio<\/strong>\u00a0(Chemical Box<\/em> contributor Shawn Starr<\/strong> also reviewed<\/a> Copra<\/em>).<\/p>\n

Jim Rugg<\/strong><\/a> and Ian Harker<\/strong><\/a>, their respective shout outs were much appreciated. I also spoke to Seth Jacob<\/strong><\/a>\u00a0a little and Terrence Stasse Moreau<\/strong><\/a>\u00a0broke it down, which is really a gross understatement considering all the thought and work behind his posts.<\/p>\n
